Have fun, be safe

We pride ourselves in offering very safe equipment and procedures. Our safety management system includes external audits and safety certification.

Adventure Forest is accredited OutdoorsMark, the National Outdoor Safety Quality Assurance Programme administered by Outdoors New Zealand. OutdoorsMark safety-focused audits provide an independent process for assessing the robustness of organisational safety policies, procedures and practices, for alignment with currently accepted outdoor industry standards. Download Adventure Forest's current Certificate of Accreditation.

The circuits are designed and built in compliance with industry standards (EN 15567) which are adhered to by more than a thousand similar equipments worldwide. Safety inspections are carried out by independent experts every year. The courses are checked every day by the staff before opening. Personal Protective Equipments and fall-arrest systems are checked before each use.

At the beginning of your session, a staff member proceeds a safety briefing. You can then practice on the white circuit. Once you handle the safety systems, you can make your way on your own along the other aerial circuits. You are then responsible for your safety by respecting the Activity Rules and Guidelines.

Our team is patrolling from the ground and quickly provides assistance if someone is in trouble. To respond to any event, the staff is regularly trained to undertake rescues at heights.

Despite our best efforts, there still exists an inherent element of danger when undertaking such activities, and we require participants to sign a form accepting this fact prior to enjoying the Adventure Forest outdoor experience.

Adventure Forest Risk Assessment is thoroughly reviewed on a regular basis and the relevant procedures are updated when necessary.

Thank you for your co-operation in making Adventure Forest
a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone!
